Manchester City’s Tekkz made a dazzling entrance onto the competitive scene, announcing himself to the world by winning the FUT 18 Champions Cup in Barcelona at just 16 years old. Not only did he achieve this remarkable feat at such a young age, but he also defeated one of the greatest players of all time, Nicolas99fc, in a stunning final. The then-teenager delivered a commanding 9–3 victory, including a dominant 6–1 performance in the second leg.
Since that incredible triumph, Tekkz has only risen higher, adding multiple ePremier League titles, five FUT Champions Cups, and the eChampions League 2020 Invitational trophy to his illustrious resume. Ever the fierce competitor, his performance at last season’s FC Pro Open will undoubtedly have fuelled his determination to succeed this year.
Last year, Tekkz started the FC Pro Open slowly, going winless in Match Week 4. However, he nearly pulled off a miraculous comeback in Match Week 8, needing just one more goal to secure his place in the FC Pro Open Finals. Unfortunately, a narrow loss to Obrun in a critical match kept him from advancing.
While missing qualification by such a slim margin was a tough blow, it also made this year’s tournament all the more significant for him. That drive was on full display in the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier, where Tekkz overcame Bandar in the Losers’ Bracket to keep his dream alive.
Now, Tekkz has the opportunity to make up for last season’s story, prove his resilience, and secure his place in the FC Pro Open Finals.
